The Image Analyzer is a free extension for Dynamics 365 Business Central (up to 100 images per month). The extension uses powerful image analysis provided by the Computer Vision API for Microsoft Cognitive Services to identify attributes in images. These are then added to articles and contacts so you can easily review and match them.

In terms of objects, attributes could be objects such as tables or chairs, or colors such as red or blue. For contacts, attributes could be gender or age.

How the Image Analyzer works
The Image Analyzer suggests attributes based on tags found by the Computer Vision API and a confidence level.

By default, attributes are only suggested if there is at least 80 % confidence that the attribute is correct. However, you can set a different confidence level if required.

After you have activated the extension, Image Analyzer will run every time you import an image into an article or to a contact person. You will immediately see the attributes, confidence level and details and can decide what to do with each attribute.

If you have imported images before you have activated the Image Analyzer extension, you need to go to the article or contact cards and select the “Analyze image” action.
